6 maja 2008 nakładem wytwórni Fractured Transmitter Records ukaże się debiutancki album formacji Pitch Black Forecast zatytułowany "Absentee". W skład zespołu wchodzą: Jason "J" Popson (Mushroomhead, In Cold Blood) - wokal, Gene Hoglan (Strapping Young Lad, Death, Dark Angel) - perkusja, Robert Reinard (NDE) - gitara oraz Craig Martini - bas. Miksem materiału zajął się Bill Korecky. Oficjalny debiut sceniczny grupy odbędzie się 10 maja w klubie "Peabody's Down Under" w Cleveland.
